Aldi reveals own-brand budget tablet
Aldi is following in the footsteps of Tesco and Argos with the launch of its own budget tablet computer.
The discounter will begin selling the £79 Medion Lifetab E7316 device from 8 December, although stocks will be limited.
The seven-inch tablet features 8GB of storage and a screen resolution of 1024x600. It is 11mm thick, weighs 301g and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU. The battery life will be four hours. The Lifetab also has front and rear facing cameras.
In September, Tesco launched its seven-inch Hudl tablet for £119 while Argos launched its £100 MyTablet device in October.
