The garden centre chain Home & Garden Group is understood to have been placed into administration.

The action comes just a couple of weeks after documents were filed at Companies House relating to the administration of its sister company, Green Moon Plants Ltd.

The group owns the following nine garden centres, located across several counties:

- David's Nurseries (Worcestershire)
- Floralands Garden Centre (Nottingham)
- Ise Garden Centre (Kettering)
- Leighton Buzzard Garden Centre (Bedfordshire)
- Plowmans Garden Centre (Dorset)
- Rutland Garden Centre (Leicestershire)
- Stansted Park Garden Centre (Hampshire)
- Shopwhyke Garden Centre (Chichester)
- Willington Home and Garden (Bedfordshire)

The company’s directors were David White and Karen Gill. Filings at Companies House show that Karen Gill has resigned as director of several businesses, including several of those listed above,  between the 6th and 8th March, 2018.

David White had told trade publication Horticulture Week that trading had been 'ok' during January and 'poor' in February, adding that March sales had been affected by the 'Beast from the East'.
