8th Global DIY-Summit Rescheduled

Global DIY Summit 2022

As previously shared, we continue to closely monitor the Global coronavirus (Covid-19) situation and assess the prospect of the Global DIY-Summit taking place in 2021.

Initially, the authorisation and approval of a variety of vaccines across the world gave us hope that we could hold the Global DIY-Summit in 2021. However, the delays in the vaccination rollout seen in many countries, as well as the development of a variety of vaccination mutations, has forced us to reconsider this position. We continue to believe that the delivery of a world-class international event will inevitably be impacted by the numerous travel restrictions and the persistently high number of Covid-19 cases.

With this in mind, and following constant close consultation with our event partners, key stakeholders and hosts, we have taken the decision to postpone the 8th Global DIY-Summit to protect the health of all delegates and sponsors taking part in our event. The Global DIY Summit will now take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from the 8th to 10th of June 2022.

By opting to defer the event to a 2022 we believe that the Covid-19 situation will be more controlled and, as a result, we will be in the best position to deliver the Global DIY-Summit at full capacity, offering our event partners, delegates, and the entire industry the value, networking and international exposure that they have come to expect from us. As a response to postponing the physical Global DIY-Summit we will continue offering the services of the Global DIY-Network, launched in October 2020. Moreover, we will also be holding a brand-new, forward looking and dynamic digital event on the 9th and 10th of September 2021.

The 1st Virtual DIY-Summit will offer the opportunity for all interested parties in the DIY and Home Improvement industry to gather together virtually, share their actions and responses to Covid-19 and look towards 2022. The programme has now been finalised and includes keynote speeches from industry leaders as well as plenty of networking and interactive opportunities. This event will be a complimentary service for the delegates already registered to the 8th Global DIY-Summit and the subscribers of the Global DIY-Network.

In order to continue offering this important event for our industry all tickets and sponsorships for the Global DIY-Summit 2021 will automatically be valid for the rescheduled event. This way all of our delegates and partners will not be affected by this decision and will enjoy the full service in 2022. We are strong believers that the Global DIY-Summit in 2022 will be one of the best yet as the industry reconvene, reunite, and look towards the next normal following Covid-19.
